The Dog Control Department is funded from the sale of dog
tag licenses and related fee income. All proceeds from these
sales are placed in the Dog and Kennel Fund and are used to
finance the Department's operation throughout the year. The
funds are to be used only for dog control related expense.
Most of the Ohio Revised Code references to dogs and the dog
control function are found in Sections 951 and 955. Free,
searchable versions of the code are available on the Internet.
An on line search for "Ohio Revised Code" will display
various sources for the information.
