Absentee Voting
Absentee Voting begins 35 days prior to each election. Absentee Voting may be done by casting your ballot in person at the board of elections office or by requesting a ballot be mailed to you.
Absentee Voting by Mail
Complete and mail application to:

Your ballot will be mailed to the address specified on your application after Absentee Voting begins, which is 35 days prior to the election.
Deadline for Returning your Application
If requesting your ballot by mail, your written request for an absentee ballot should be received at the board of elections by:
Noon of the third day (Saturday) before Election Day
Returning your Absentee Ballot
If returning your Absentee Ballot by mail, the voted ballot must be returned with proper postage, which is $0.59* and postmarked no later than the day before Election Day and must be received by the board of elections within 10 days after Election Day in order to be counted.
*postage varies per election, this rate applies to the May 5, 2009 Primary Election only
If returning your Absentee Ballot to the board of elections in person or by a close relative, it must be received at the board of elections office by 7:30 pm on Election Day in order to be counted.
In Person Absentee Voting
You may cast your ballot beginning 35 days prior to the election until the close of regular board of elections’ hours the day before the election at the board of elections office.
