The next election will be held on May 4, 2010. Levy information is provided for Allen County subdivisions that will be on the ballot on this date. There are two levies on the ballot this election cycle and you will be deciding the outcomes. Study the issues and vote.
Elida Local School District (Renewal 5 year Emergency Levy for 7.2 mills)
Elida Local School District is requesting the renewal of an existing emergency levy for (5) five years. This levy will generate about $2,704,741 per year. This levy, if approved, will be on the tax duplicate for tax year 2010 with collections beginning in 2011. Since this is an existing levy, it qualifies for the personal property tax reimbursement.
Children Services (Replacement levy for .75 mills)
Children Services is requesting a replacement levy for five years. This levy, if repleaced, will provide about $1,636,143 per year and will be on the tax duplicate for tax year 2010 with collections beginning in 2011. Since this is a replacement levy it will increase the taxes of the residents. Since this is an existing levy, it qualifies for the personal property tax reimbursement.
